Happy New year!

Hello all!

wow, to think this is the final day of 2009 and to look back over the year and really think about where the Lord has taken us as a body. in Aug I started this blog because of my life in Honduras. that was almost five months ago, we have grown from a simple blog to a blog with multiple readers the fact I am slowly becoming aware of.
I give praise to God for the wonderful blessings he has given us this year, I have been provided money, safety, wisdom, language abilities, etc. The Lord is so good and it is my heart to see him do even greater things. My goals for this year are as followed but if the Lord has other plans then he can change them:
1. become even closer in my walk wiht the Lord
2.Reach the hispanics with the Love of christ
3.start driving allowing more time for ministry.
4.work closer as the Lord opens the door with the Mission ball
5.reach the Lost
6.walk only in the holy spirit
7.Go to Central America
8.work with the youth to raise up a team of missionaries.
9.keep writing this blog
10.walk one day at a time.
Thank you all for a great year and may God bless your new year!

The Mission ball part 2

Hello all

I wanted to write something else about the mission ball, as I was talking with the leader of the Mission ball today, he mentioned that there is a huge need for the text of the ball to get translated, this is why I am writing. I have an idea, if you or someone you know lives in another country you could help translate the ball it is a simple process and easy to do I am supposed to be getting the text sometime this week.
And then start the process of trying to find translators. But I was wondering if who ever reads this blog could help me out if they feel called to do so.
My request is that you pray about how you can help translate the text and if the Lord could open the door for translations. This is the main way to help out the Mission ball besides donations. If you are interested in helping out or have any questions e-mail me at; joyofthesower@hotmail.com
Thank you,
Josiah

The mission ball and it's ministry.

Hello all!

I wanted to let you all know about an awesome organization by whom I have been blessed and who is helping in the mission field, the name is the Mission ball. The goal of the Mission ball is simple; print soccer balls in multiple languages that have the gospel and ten commandments written all over it. Soccer is the number one sport in the world and every country has a team. The mission ball is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and Creole. I believe that this is an intelligent way to reach the world. I would love it if we could team together and help out by passing out balls and donating money.
below is the link for the mission ball please take time to read it and pray about it.

Merry Christmas!

Hello all!

I wanted to post my christmas blog.
This past year has been eventful and busy, as you all know I have spent the last four months serving in Honduras Central America. I am happy to be home with my family and friends and to celebrate the birth of the Lord, I want to thank you all this christmas season for the prayer and support you have given me these past few months as I lived down south. I am so blessed by you guys and I am glad to see everyone once again. I have experienced a lot of new things, and I will never forget.
As we enter into Christmas tomorrow I hope we all will remember the real reason for the season. I could just give a simple christmas message but it really comes down to this one thing, God became flesh and dwelt among us, we beheld his glory.
Isiah 9:2 says that the light came into the darkness and the those who walk in the darkness have seen a great light.
As we get into christmas, let us keep the light as our focus that is what Missions is all about. and that is what our purpose in this world is supposed to be.
God bless, and Merry christmas!

estamos aqui (we are here)
Hello all!

We are here in the united states, and it is really nice to be home finally. I am enjoying seeing my friends and family and getting back tomy normal life. As most of you know I am noit returning to Honduras for another six months. it is too long and I have things I have to do here in the states. I would love to because I love honduras, but scfhool is a priority and I must follow the Lord's will for my life. some of you are wondering what Iam going to do now that I am back in the states, my plans are to simply pray and see what the Lord allows me to do. He sent me to Honduras to prepare me for something and I really hopeit is work among the spanish. Please be praying for me as I try to figure out what he has for me now. either way, I do plan on keeping this blog going with updates on my life and reflections about Honduras and any updates on any mission trips or outreaches. Should the Lord tarry I would like to return to Honduras for the graduation of my class and to see friends.
what is my next mission field? the youth group here and possibly El Salvador next summer.
but I want to present another prayer request for you, as some of you know I have been praying about missions in Mongolia, I have been for a while as the Mongolian people are on my heart. I feel a door might be opening but it would be very expensive. Please pray for me as I take this step of faith and really start praying about the possibility of missions to Mongolia. I know this is far fetched as I have learned spanish and yet I might be heading to a totally different place. But I must keep the idea in mind
But please if you remember to pray for me I would be so happy. Also pray for the missions work in Honduras right now, and for the soccer balls.

final week

Hello all,

Yes i know it has been forever since my last update. But this past week has been really busy and yet again I don't have pictures. I suspose I wil have wait untili am back in the states next week. and yes I said that I am nack next week! it is hard to think that I am almost finished with this adventure, only 5 more days until I am done with this life. I will miss evryone so much, and my way of life here.
A few things I want to share are some intresting things that have happened here.
First off I am leanring the funniness of trnaslating certaiun things, for example down here they say Mi amor, this means my love. so when I was with my techer this past week end shoppng for chrismas gifts I kept hearing what do you want my love? but in reality this is like saying what do you want honey? this just craked me up, or thinking of the time when I greeted someone with how are you old woman? instead of how did your trip go?"but thinking of the culture aspects I really will miss everything I think I will feel weird living back in the states finally. I mean there So what am i doing my final week here? I am trying to get packed, and get ready for the christmas program this friday. I am also trying to finish my time here really well, I feel it has been tough and there have been extra battles these past few weeks. I think the spirutal warfare is getting really high. but I am ready to see what the Lord will do in the next five days. anyways, this is most likely my last post before I fly out but please keep reading as I hope to post more of my time here and what the Lord is and has taught me about missions and what my vision is now.
