Flexible

I was just thinking,
Mary was a girl, only 14 or so. She probably had plans of her own, and dreams!
she probably had a life planned out, but then the holy spirit conceived in her the messiah!
I get upset when my plans change, but she was willing to say "behold your maidservant"
what humility and what flexibility in lifes changes!
I wanna be flexible like that.
Something to ponder
Have a blessed Christmas!

The Bridgroom is coming!

The Bridegroom is coming!
There is such an urgency in those words, but yet such a peace! we are called to be sober(1st Peter 4:7)
we are told to not be too busy we miss the lords return(Matthew 24) but yet we are told to watch!
I feel as though there is a lack of urgency in missions today, what will it take for the word to go forth?
The church is starting to slack, the coming of the Lord is at hand and we are getting comfortable? hundreds are going to Hell! and were sitting on the sidelines!
This past friday night, a girl came forward in youth group and accepted Jesus as her savior! praise the lord for this salvation! But the reason she gave for coming to the Lord was the fact that the church had simply loved her!
This showed me the importance of loving the lost, lets not try to attack them with the gospel, lets try to love them. Love as Christ loved us!
A simple showing of Love this christmas season, good grief! all year round!
Jesus is coming and the love of many will grow cold. I don't wanna let my love grow cold.

Ropes being cut

Hello All,
I know it's time for another update and blog post. Well, most of you know I've been working with youth and children ministry ever since I've gotten back from Honduras (Going on almost a year now). In my heart, there is still a desire for missions, I am taking one day at a time. Seeking the Lord as I finish high school, looking for divine appointments in the everyday world, from the man at Hyvee to the bell ringer on the street. My mission field is here, my mission is here.
The Lord is slowly making clear my calling: Sower
What is a sower? a sower is someone who plants a seed, who puts the seed which the bible says is the word of God into hearts of men. That my friend is what the lord is calling me to do. I don't how to do it, I don't even need to know till that day.
I feel the ropes are being cut, all that is not of Christ or was for a season is being let loose and my one calling is being made sure. One day at a time. Hour by Hour, the harvest is plentiful! Lord, Open our eyes to the lost!
My calling, my goal is to love people. Two things i have learned in ministry: Love God, and Love people. Love covers a multitude of all sins, Love never fails, Love does not covet and Love is not jealous.
The best thing and the thing that is lacking in the church, thew world, and missions is Love. so many people, so many tribes, so many souls have been plastered and attacked with the gospel and it was not done in love. So many people whose hearts are hard towards the church because they were not loved.
What will it take? what will it take for the church to wake up? start with the man on the street, do we love him even? How can we love our brothers, but not the homeless? how can we love the rich but not the poor? How can we love the morally right, but not the sinner?
My calling is to sow the word, that is it.

Send Me By Lecrae

Lyrics to Send Me :
Send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
lemme go lemme go!
(repeat x4)

i seen it with my own two,
there's no way i can show you
a perfectly poverty stricken people with no view.
And i bet you can't believe this,
they never heard of jesus.
Heard young butler, lil wayne, and young jeezy.

No one's signing up to go on missions this summa.
Rather sit at home and watch exibit pimp in a humma
while a nine year old is shot down.
No one's screaming 'stop now!'
no bridge illustrations for criminals who on lock down.

People deep in africa
looking for an answer bra'.
In china man,
they're dieing man,
until they know who died for sins.
So look what grace did.
Not for us to stay here
inside our comfort zones
at home in mama's basement.

Get out on the grind y'all.
Ain't no better time doll.
I know y'all read the great commission.
Let me just remind y'all:
make disciples of the nations.
Teach'm to obey the lord.
Have to lead someone to christ before i face the lord.

Send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
lemme go lemme go!
(repeat x4)

hey! After, 1,000 years in the west and the churches
get'n bigger daily without understand'n worship. (say what?)
Some regenerate but a lot ain't saved.
You walk outside and be surprised cuz the block ain't changed.
And the numbers they be get'n me.
Something just ain't hit'n them.
America ain't christian they practice'n the ritual.
That's why we should be mission though.
Hey, what you think i'm spit'n for?
The united states is die'n
and in the east is looking pitiful.

Some places if they catch you
they'll arrest you.
They'll serve you,
but they still need the word too.
The gospel should be heard too.
We claim we ain't ashamed,
but we ain't hit the block up.
Were in our christian bubble,
while our brotha's get'n locked up.
Lord i wanna stock up,
pack a bag and walk up
in a country where my faith may get me shot up
anywhere i go, whether my city or far abroad,
i just wanna show' christ the risen holy god.

Send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
lemme go lemme go!
(repeat x4)

i know they're die'n in the streets over in the middle east.
Some kids sink in piece
others hold'n up a piece.
If the violence doesn't cease,
then at least the deceased
might know jesus as their savior as their bodies hit the streets.
And i know this is a graphic view.
And i pray that it's attack'n you.
Track'n you to act and do
what you see in the back illusion.
Mathew twenty-four and fourteen.
We should read it twice
before we think that life is just a battle
see we free in christ!
Look dawg! Life is more than church work and football!
What if you were dead and seen that christians overlooked y'all!
This is why we leave the couch
and leave the comforts of our house
to show a die'n world a god they'll probably never read about.

The great commission says make disciples of all nations.
Have we even made them in our own nation?
Come on christians!
Missions exist because worship doesn't.
People don't worship the god who made them.
We're ambassadors.
Let's go!

Send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
send me I'll go,
lemme go lemme go!
(repeat x4)

1st peter 2:2

What ever happened to the pure word of God?
I see so many new born baby Christians being attacked with pamphlets and vouchers on how to "grow" in your faith, ten step programs, etc.
What has happened to the word of God?
Why are we neglecting the needed substance? A baby can't grow unless it has protein.
booklets don't give protein, they are supplements.
I'm not saying don't read them, I'm not even saying to not read any books other then the bible. but when it's all said and done none of these truly help us grow more then the word of God!
What has happened? We have neglected it!
We are called to desire it! that desire is lost, in America, and in the church! we have a lost a desire for the word.
New born Christians are falling away cause they are reading everything but the bible,
it's all a fad, it's all a fake. How long will this go on?

Q

1st peter 1

1. Our faith is so much more valuable then Gold that perishes!(vs7) Gold is a worldly item that will pass away and corrode. (James 5:3) But our faith is the salvation of our Souls! We are saved and we are sanctified by Faith and not of our selves. (1 peter 1:18-19)
Even though it is tested by Fire, even though the worst of circumstances happen to us, it happens so it may be found pleasing and glorified at the end and at the coming of Jesus! (Vs 8)
We all need to be spiritually refined; I need to be spiritually refined. (Job 23:10) This is the result of it!
Made pure! A pure faith, a faith that won’t doubt! A faith that won’t fail, a faith that has been tested and proven true! The lord loves to chasten us because it refines us(Prov 3:11-12)
I get stuck on this passage in 1st peter speaking of spiritual refining,
I get so stuck on it! I can’t even move on to the rest of the chapter. It hurts, it’s never easy.
But just as the clay needs to be tried we need to be tried!
We are told to count it all joy when we fall into testing of our faith!(James 1:2)
Joy! That means rejoicing in the fact we are being tested knowing that our testing produces PURE faith.

For those of you who don’t know, the past few weeks, the past days expressly I have been dealing with Discouragement like never before. I have felt Emotional pain, and spiritual attacks and trials like never before. I have felt Loneliness, I have felt rejection, I have felt total loss. I feel like and have felt like that life
Is too hard for me, I am battling something like never before; I see the attacks for what they are.
I have felt like quitting ministry, thoughts of just quitting and sitting on the sidelines have been active.
In every area of my life, something seems to be under attack. But I know my God is greater then these.
I feel as though no matter how hard I try to overcome these I can’t except by the blood of the lamb! But how much easier it is to say that then believe it.

I know none of the lies Satan tells me are true! I know I have victory in Christ, I know he has overcome the world. But this passage in 1st peter could not have come at a better time. My faith has been tried and tested like never before. I need prayer like never before. But even as I am battling this state of discouragement I know that my God, my Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33) but the trials are still there.
I have to hold unto Salvation.
But if there is one thing I’ve seen in this is the fact that this trial, this testing of my faith is revealing to me how Real God is, that even in my desert of despair he is there.
That even though I don’t see him I can still rejoice, I can still love him!(vs 8)
I want to finish with my plea for prayer, please pray for me.

I don't mean to even sound like a pity party, but this is what is going on!

I know my redeemer lives!(Job 19:25) He lives! he alone is my hope, he is my victory! he conquered death, he also has felt everything and more then what I'm feeling! he was rejected to the point of death!
He alone is faithful. He alone will see us through.
The body of Christ is under fire, I see it around the body. God is moving! The youth group here is growing, the lord is doing a work but the attacks are coming.

A saying as we close is “Faith not tested can’t be trusted” if I truly had not been tested or am being tested my faith would not be pure!

The Danger of the Modern Gospel

“Another Gospel”

The Gospel, it triggers much thoughts and controversy. It has been used to describe multiple things the gospel of Muhammad, the Gospel of Cars, the gospel…. And so on. But the one that makes people mad is “The Gospel of Jesus Christ” This is what really triggers someone. When this is brought up it gets intense.
In today’ society god may be acknowledge but Jesus is hated. What has caused so much hatred towards the Christ? I believe a very fine answer is given in John 7:7-
Jhn 7:7 "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil”

It’s simple; Jesus said the works of the world are evil! Men are evil and love darkness and evil.
When someone is confronted with the truth they hate it! So instead of preaching the truth as the early church did, the Church as a majority has taken the gospel and changed it, we have changed the way we present it for fear of reproach! We have made a man centered Gospel! Forgive me if I’m reparative and passionate about this, o dear, oh how I wish the bride of Christ would wake up and see the danger and the filth she is in!
It reminds me of someone who is sending another person towards the cliff on a recliner! They says “oh but the person is comfortable” while the person falls into his death!
This is the Danger of “Another Gospel” or the modern Gospel!
When I say “Another Gospel” I mean the “Another Gospel” as is mentioned in the Bible:
Gal 1:8 “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”
The word Accursed here literally means “Doomed” what Paul is basically saying is “he who preaches another Gospel, a gospel unlike the true Gospel let him be doomed” man, that’s harsh but it shows us the importance of
The gospel it shows us that the gospel is not something we can change so easily.
This is why I say that it’s dangerous for preaching “Another Gospel” because it’s eternal!
The Gospel is an eternal matter, but this fact is not thought of in the church today. We treat as it’s a fun, loving, joy gospel and it is but it’s not just that! It’s a gospel of being saved from sin!

I also believe the danger of “Another Gospel” is the fact, that many people are deceived and therefore a false convert! Many come forward thinking, “Oh I’ll accept Jesus and everything will be cool”
Only a few years later they fall away because of trials, they still live in sin, etc. All because they fell for a lie “Jesus is such a loving vending machine” but when trials and temptations come, they fall away!
This is another danger, whole churches are deceived! Whole “Believers” live in sin, because they don’t understand the true Gospel! Forgive me for being harsh, but this is the truth! How long will we preach a gospel to all mankind that only sends people to hell? How long will this go on?

So many deceived! But yet this is exactly what was mentioned would happen in the last days it said, “there would come a time”

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

My friends and readers, I believe we are living in this time! This time is upon us! The Church is heaping up for themselves teachers! Man teachers! Only teaching what the crowds want to hear! It’s like telling a patient they are going to live a long and happy life when in reality they are going to die from Cancer!
Oh Church, how long will we heap up man-centered teachers? What a man sows, so that he shall reap! I don’t want to reap a false Gospel! We all will stand before judgment!
This is a sign we are living in the last days, the times are upon us! And yet Jesus is going to come back and find his church unfaithful to the Gospel?

But what has motivated man to heap up teachers and to preach a watered-down gospel? I believe my very first point answers it. Men’s deeds are Evil, man hates being called Evil. Because of pride, we love sin! Because of the fall men have only got wickeder and wickeder. We have only grown more accustomed to sin we have treated sin more and more lightly, we have done all that is mentioned would happen in the last days.
We have become lovers of ourselves! oh how my heart aches for the church, it’s not a matter of being biased or even trying to cause a revival, it’s simply my heart is the fact that the majority of the church is on it’s way to Hell! It’s a eternal matter! How long will we be deceived?
How long will we allow this lie that Jesus is just a vendor God and someone who is all come to you and me will be rich? How long will we refuse to preach Hell?
Jesus told us to preach “THE GOSPEL” to all nations! Not a gospel that is perverted!
Even pastors are living in sin! This is a how crazy and extreme these last days are! Oh how much more so we need to be living as a light in this Dark Age!
Oh I know the majority of “Christians” will hate us because we preach the truth, but what better love then to show them the true need for a savior?

Many “Fables” in the last days will come.

2Ti 4:4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Perhaps this means fables or legends of Supernatural appearing other then truth of the gospel and truth of Jesus,
Perhaps it’s the new age movement, or perhaps it’s something more disguised then that perhaps it’s the gospel of being saved by works, perhaps it’s a fable that money earns your way to heaven.
My point is, is that we are living in the last days! Many churches ate turning their ears away from the truth!
The truth of the fact there is Hell but there is ALSO a God who sent his son to die for our sins!
Or the other fable is the teaching of no Hell. There are people who say you can be saved and believe in a non-existent hell,
But if there is no Hell there is no need for repentance and by this alone, you have undermined the gospel,
You have undermined the basics of the Christian faith.
Do you see the danger of this? It’s extreme!
Many Fables, many childish beliefs of a Vending God is slipping into the church! When will we wake up to this fact? We’ve lost thousands to this movement.
Let him whom preaches another gospel be accursed! There is no other Gospel that can save us! Only Jesus can!

The Gospel of Health and wealth, is also a threat like never before. People are falsely converted because they are taught once saved Jesus will make them rich! I’m not saying that you won’t be blessed or you will be poor,
I’m saying that, the bible says many trials would come! We are living in a sinful world! But it’s a matter of being rich in Faith! Trusting the Lord, it’s not a all joy ride with the Lord, it’s gots it’s ups and down.
How many are converted because they like the fluff? Many! This is a serious issue!
Forgive me for venting, but this is what is happening! Millions are going to Hell!

In Conclusion, The church is asleep to this fact! I pray my post has woke you up. let us preach the Gospel! In season and out of season!
There is a blog post being written, be patient and in the mean time pray for indonesia and israel

Ray Comfort-teaching 2 last session

Ray Comfort

Ray Comfort spoke at the last session, it was a great teaching to close with, a few main points to close the conference with was as followed:

1. Philemon 1:6

2. The key is to see Jesus as lord

3. This is the key to effective evangelism.

4. We need to KNOW God, so we can share him with the world!

5. God is a just God- we will give an account

6. God is also a loving God

7. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God, we need to be willing to submit to the Lord

8. Do we care about the judgment of God? The church today does not preach about it.

9. John 8:31- it’s time to Abide in the word. Not in formulas.

10. Psalm 1- we must be in the word before we share it

11. Meditate on the word

12. we are to feed on ALL the word, not just parts that good and fluffy, we need to be equipped

13. Know the word

14. Don’t neglect the word for some book

15. We are in a war we need to know Discipline when it comes to reading the word, we must make an effort to read it

16. There are lost souls at stake. This should wake us up!

This was a very good message, I was encouraged to really dig into the word and go deeper with Jesus,
Before we can share the word, we must be in it!

Philip De Courcy

Philip De Courcy

Philip was a great speaker, he was on right after lunch and we were late for his teaching due to
A wonderful encounter on the street. (Details later) his points were as followed:

1. Col 1:15

2. All things persist for God’s purpose

3. Everything has it’s place

4. We are to worship him in everything!

5. Jesus gives everything a reason, that’s what it means to go deeper with Jesus! Knowing that Jesus holds everything together we have no fears!

6. The Lord is Among us, church says “Lets invite God”! but The spirit is already among us!

7. The Lordship of the Church is Jesus only! Not the Pope, not Muhammad, not Ray Comfort, it’s Jesus only! He alone deserves the praise.

8. Jesus consist in history!

9. What an honor to serve an awesome God, one who has everything in control

10. Ultimately the Lord will build the Church in his way and time

11. Jesus is Above all things

I love how he pointed out that the church today is trying to be above Jesus! We can’t be! He holds us together!

P.S- This is the 100th post! Amazing how the Lord has brought this blog to where it is! It's all the Glory to the Lord! Thanks for your prayers and reading!

Jason Lisle

Jason Lisle

Jason Lisle works for Answers in Genesis, he is a scientist.
His points were as listed:

1. All the information in DNA traces back to the mind

2. DNA is unique

3. You can’t add Information to DNA, DNA is what make you, well…you

4. Carbon-14 is limited to thousands of years not millions

5. Creationist and Evolutionist have different ways to view the evidence.

6. A person’s worldview controls how they view the evidence.

7. There is no neutral ground in a worldview!

Very informative teaching but a ton to grasp in little time. And we were all a little HungryJ
The point I liked was the point that really there is no Neutral ground.

Ray Comfort

Ray Comfort

Ray Comfort spoke the following morning, on going deeper with Jesus! (Luke 5:4) and preaching the whole gospel, also started with a short clip on reincarnation a common belief today

1. Who is the cosmic authority in reincarnation?

2. After Death we face Judgment

3. Seek souls like dogs, not dreamers. Actually seek out the lost souls

4. Preach the Gospel! Not just one on one, do open air Preaching(Jesus did this)

5. Go deeper and let the net down, Luke 5:4- Jesus calls us to go deeper!

6. We are to preach Christ, not a man doctrine or theology o our own ideas.

7. We are to live by the word alone

8. We have a treasure in earthly vessels! Just dying to share with the world.

9. What are we willing to preach?

10. Present the whole Gospel, we get too focused on our reputation and what the world wants to hear we rather then on the fact that millions are going to hell!

Point ten got me! Dude, we let the world influence our witnessing! Whatever happened to true gospel presentation? Perhaps a blog post on this subject is due! What are we willing to preach? Will we present the whole gospel? Paul says that he who preaches another gospel let him be accursed(Galatians 1:8) The Greek word here means “Let him be doomed” basically let him go to hell, forgive the statement. But that’s what the word says! So what gospel are we presenting?!

Ken Ham

Ken Ham

Ken Ham spoke after R.W Glenn, he spoke on how America is no longer a Christian Country, it is a country that is now following a pattern of the greeks in Acts 17 Rather then Jewish(Christian) beliefs in acts 2
Our culture in America and sadly the church is that one of the Greeks.
His main points were as followed:

1. 1st Cor 1:23- We must explain the basics

2. Obama said in a recent speech “whatever America once was, we are no longer, a country of Christian just, but a country of Hindus, Muslims, and unbelievers” Sadly this is true.

3. There has been a change today in the church and in the world from the Word of God to the word of Man.

4. The foundation of Christianity has been attacked and removed. (Psalm 11:3)

5. We need to address the foundation of the problem

6. The Church did not stand on the word of God, so they fell! They gave up the very foundation of Christian morals.
7. Leaders have exalted man instead of God.

8. The Culture has taken the church rather then the church taking the culture

9. We need to be reaching the hearts of the culture.

10. We need to understand the bad news for the greeks in order to present the good news of Jesus.

11. Genesis Chapters 1-11 is the basis of Christianity. Everything we need to know is there!

12. 2/3 of the next Generation will leave the church

13. We need to need to take a Biblical stand on Genesis as a church. And as the word of God!

14. The Jews knew God, Sin and Creation Their stumbling block was Jesus as messiah! We need to define terms.

15. The western world is Acts 17 culture

16. America is a Greek culture we need to get back to the basics

17. The Church are greeks sadly.

18. Pastors and Leaders are Greeks

19. If the foundation is destroyed what will happen?(The world will fall apart)

This was a very informative message, a ton to process! Such a need to get back to the basics of the word! Ken Ham ended the first day of teachings with this message,
In the afternoon of the 1st day we visited the creation museum and read and learned most of the above notes, we also saw the effects of neglecting the word of God. By watching Videos, pictures, and displays of the World and bible.

R W Glenn

R.W Glenn

RW Glenn was the night speaker, he spoke on self-righteousness, and Imputation of Jesus.
His mains points are as followed:

1. Lifeness from Jesus is a gift! Use it! Jesus alone gives us life
2. Jesus perfect life is poured out to us to live holy(2 cor 5:21)
3. The sins were placed on Jesus for us
4. The Gospel of Imputation is trusting Jesus died on the cross for us and took our sins and we live in that.
5. Jesus took our sins! It was not our work.
6. Luke 18:9-14
7. You can take anything and feel superior you can take the smallest thing and say “I’m glad I don’t do that” and feel superior,
8. self-righteousness is huge in the church today! We need to get back to the lowliness!

This message was very convicting on how easy it is to say “I’m glad I’m not like that person” he said you could even try to be humble and in the process become prideful, We need to be humble so that way we can
Be a light in a prideful world, I loved this message but it also was very convicting and powerful.
Short notes but very good messege!

Session 2 EZ

Session 2-Emeal Zwayne (EZ)

EZ Brought out several good points during the 2nd sessions of the conference, he spoke on multiple things
But he mainly focused on Three attributes of Jesus mentioned in Philippians 2:2-10
Below are some points,

1. The world discards the name of Christ, they misuse it they don’t like it, the pay no attention to it. Even the Church has

2. We live in a era where the church does not Grasp Jesus for who he is! Do we know Jesus? Or do we know about him?

3. The church is passionate about the world today not about Jesus! It’s time to be passionate about the Lord!

4. We neglect to spend time with the Lord, we rather watch TV or even serve in the church rather then that one on one with the Lord.

5. Philippians 2:9-10-The lordship of Jesus Christ- It’ s essential as believers we grasp the Lordship of Jesus if we are going to proclaim him. How do we view Jesus as Lord? Do we know he’s God or do we know it because we were taught that way?

6. The Lowliness of Christ-Phil 2:7-8- The Lordship of Christ came in such a lowly matter! “There are many men who have sought to become God, but only one God who Sought to become man” was a quote he used. The Lowliness of Jesus is what makes him so unique! Yet we are called to be like Jesus. We are called to be lowly in all things! Christ Displayed so much humility for us! He loved us that much.

7. The Love of Christ is the final Attribute! Jesus had a love to lay down his life! a love that is indescribable, we need to share that Love, be ambassadors in the love sharing the Love of Christ.

Three final points to take away from each attribute,
1.Jesus is Worthy of Adoration (Lordship of Jesus)
2. Jesus is worthy if our Humility (Lowliness of Jesus)
3. Jesus is worthy of our Ambassadorship (Love of Christ)

It was such a powerful message! Such a blessing to Receive from the Lord.

Deeper Conference-Opening Session Day 1

Kirk Cameron

Kirk spoke on several things most of which I will try to mention on
The below outline he opened up the conference with the following notes.

1. He emphasized the importance of solid Theology in witnessing the importance of knowing the gospel.

2. He then moved to talk about how there is such a need for a passion for the word of God in the church today, we tend to be more passionate about Sports, movies, and Christian t-shirts and not be passionate about the Lord. We lack true passion

3. Kirk then turned to his highlighted message of the hour. The message of the first and last Adam. He compared Genesis 1 and John 1 speaking as Jesus as the creator and Adam as being created. He brought out some interesting concepts as he spoke on light entering the world for the first time in both passages(Jesus being the light in John 1)

4. He then explained how Adam was one flesh with Eve, Jesus should be one flesh with the church being the perfect bride of the church.

5. Adam because of sin brought us from Life to Death, Jesus brought us from death to life. He gives us life.

6. Kirk then spoke on the fall, after the fall happened the grasp of what was right the grasp of reality was warped by sin, the world’s view of the reality is warped and twisted. That’s why the world is lost. After the fall, sin entered the world and the mind of humans.

7. He explained how we are the clay pots made in the image of God, we have to choice to behave as images of God.

8. Now he talks about how the fall happened, Eve got impatient, he spoke how the bible mentions that the Lord is willing to give wisdom, perhaps the lord was willing to grant Adam and Eve the right to partake of the fruit in his time, but instead Eve got impatient and self-efficient and decided she could take the fruit now! He brought out the point of how we tend to rush God

9.He mentioned not to shortcut the plans of God.

10. We must learn to do everything the Lord has planned, in his time and in his way.

11. We are in the Last Adam-Jesus, we are no long in the First Adam-death, and we are alive

12. He finished with an interesting thought Adam was with Eve in the garden and yet did not say anything. He was responsible as well, he was with Eve when she took the fruit. He remained silent, he could have stopped her. If only he knew the effects

The key point that spoke to me personally was the fact we are in the last Adam, we bear the image of the last Adam (1st Cor 15:49) we need to live in the Last Adam, we need to live in the life that Christ has given us. This was such an interesting and powerful opening session.

Way of the master Conference and other thoughts

Hello All!

just wanted to write and say that the Lord is opening the door for me to be able to go with a few other Christians from the area to a Way of the Master conference. I'm looking forward to it and to all the Lord has planned for me and to be able to take two days and just receive from the Lord!
It'll be sweet and I'm excited, this will be an awesome time of training on how to share the faith better as well as a chance to to get to know fellow youth leaders and missionaries. I am excited and it's fast approaching!
on another note, tomorrow night at youth group we are having a Hispanic Kid named AJ come and share his testimony. Pray all our hearts be opened to hearing and that AJ will be bold in his faith, also pray for AJ as he is serving the Lord alongside the spanish pastor(Mentioned in last blog).
Pray for the youth ministry at Calvary as we make decisions and that the youth's hearts would be open to the Lord, further pray that the Lord would bring those who he wants.
Meanwhile, the puppet ministry is going great! the kids are loving it and the word is being presented!
Pray for the park outreaches as we finish up the year, this year has been crazy! the spirit is moving and Muslim kids are hearing about Jesus as the only way! it's insane what happens when we Trust God! Keep praying and seeking the Lord!

La Iglesia! (the Church)

Hola!

great news from the frontlines! a spanish church has started all with the goal of simply seeking the lord and teaching the bible verse by verse, this is awesome! an answer to prayers by many. Saul the pastor of it felt called to reach Hispanics with ONLY the word of God. The word is going forth and they meet three times a week at our church! it's been a blessing but please pray as this is a new church and pastor Saul is facing many discouragements and opposition from the enemy.
It's been getting crazy at our church a bible study for mentally handicapped people has started! and people are coming to the Lord deeper and in newer ways! the spirit is moving and if we are willing will move us!
please keep praying for Calvary Chapel and for me as I just walk day by day!

The rain has been held back every night! A few nights it started to rain AFTER the VBA, praise the Lord!

Kids are coming to Christ including two Muslim boys who heard the gospel and about how God saves us from our sins!

Parents are also hearing the gospel, last night a man who struggled with his family heard the gospel and saw Jesus as the only option!
A man by the name of Juan heard the gospel and was witnessed to strongly! pray for him and his family as we enter into the final night of VBA.

seeking the Lord for the right way not our way.......

Ezr 8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

the key point that stuck out to me was the need to seek the Lord for the right way not always our way. It's crazy how God gives us a verse when we need it. I had been dealing with some ministry stuff and I was directed to this verse and wow! it's amazing if we seek the Lord for the right way and we don't just seek the Lord for our way. I want the way of the Lord not anything else.
I feel like we get selfish in our prayers we only ask God for our way. I want a relationship with God that is based on the right way not our ways.
in order to seek the right way and not our way. We must humble ourselves, wow! that's tough, I'm feeling like my pride is being broken this past week and it's hard but sweet. It's all to humble ourselves, he will exalt us if we are humble. His ways are so much better then our ways. I want the right way I want the Lord to move.
this was an interesting verse.
sorry I don't have much more time to write, got some deals going on today.

and odd kind of love and joy

1Pe 1:8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see [Him], yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

This verse caught me off guard in my devotions, it was pretty sweet what the Lord showed me and I can't put it on paper.....We love Christ because we have not sen him. What kind of love is that? in today's society Love is based on looks abs what we see to gratify ourselves. But as a believer we need faith that will love Christ even tho we don't see him! we have to get past the common thinking of the flesh when it comes to love.
That love mentioned here is the love between the savior and us. We know the Savior but do we love the savior? is our faith like that? can we say our faith is in loving a man we have not seen?
Joy! we can have joy believing in what we do not see! that also goes against society's terms. wow! thats radical, we rejoice in the unseen. We believe even tho we do not see him! thats faith, can we rejoice in that?

Mongolia, Peru, Israel, Honduras, and the ends of the world!

So many thoughts rush through my head, and all I want is the Lord all I want is to sit and receive from my King, all I want is to be able to serve the Lord.
As the title of this states all these different countries, they each represent different hope, different dream, different way of life, each with it's own language, each with it's own culture, and each with it's need for souls to be saved, people to be disciple and teachings to be taught. Even as I sit here and think of each one I am overwhelmed by the need for solid bible teaching in each one. I am overwhelmed that my God could send me to any place on earth, I am overwhelmed by the very fact that the Lord will send me to somewhere, it may be here but here is somewhere.
My greatest desire to visit country is to visit the country of Mongolia. I am certain the Lord has plan for that country. the spirit must move, I just want the Lord.
I wanna enter into that sweet covenant with the Lord and I wanna go where he wants me to go. Originally, I wanted to go to Honduras again, but I'm just waiting to see what the Lord does,
please pray for me, I am seeking the Lord as to where he wants me. So many locations, so many thoughts, Honduras and Peru make sense but not everything God calls us to do makes sense at first.

sweet covenant

2Ch 15:12 Then they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

I love this passage, and this is one piece of scripture that really spoke to me this past week, it made me renew that sweet relationship with the king of kings. This passage made me realize how sweet it is to enter into that covenant with the Lord!
I feel like it is so easily neglected, I wanna spend time in that covenant, I wann worship the Lord!
Please join me in it!
then right before this verse a few chapters back we see the effects of not seeking the Lord!

2Ch 12:14 And he did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the LORD.

Dude! we will do Evil, and we will fail if we don't seek the Lord! unless we enter into that covenant with the Lord we will stumble, you can't seek the Lord unless you are having that sweet relationship with them! I just want the Lord and nothing else, I wann prepare my heart and daily enter into that covenant! awesomeness! but the hearts gotta be prepared!

Giving thanks-

1 Chr 23:30-to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening;

This spoke to me, I have hard time following the list of descendants, etc. But I love it when it says "to give thank and praise the Lord" that's truly wonderful! This wa s reminder about how I need to be more thankful for everything, just as I mentioned in the separated series, we need to be more thankful, and be able to praise the lord Morning and Evening, that means spend pour entire day in always praising him.
Thats radical! I love the feel of worship, there is something about worshiping the Lord that makes you so joyful! to the unbeliever or the religious(Or both!) it appears odd and not of the norm. But to the Godly, it's the chance to enter the throne room! I try, honestly try to spend some time refreshing myself in the spirit. It's tough, but when I can I love every min of it. Thats what our hearts need to be like, wqe need to spend every min praising the Lord in our actions, thoughts and words. It's tough, I'm far from even achieving this. But I pray that the Lord will help me to walk this way, I wanna be able to praise him and to thank him.

Seperated-Churches call to seperation part 4

"Give thanks to the Lord!"

This statement comes from the book of psalms as a whole. The book is always speaking giving thank to the Lord! What does this have to do with being separated? It's got everything to do with it! The world we live is so selfish we never give thanks for anything. We never realize where the gifts truly come from. Even as believers we get selfish. We need to be out giving thanks to the Lord! he is good! his mercy endures forever! what better person then the Lord do we have to give thanks to? do our lives reflect him? Do we give thanks by our living? Do we remember who truly saved us? who pulled us up from our pit of despair?
In a world of selfishness, thankfulness will be seen when we are thankful the difference of selfishness and kindness are like black and white. Every good thing comes from God! (Jam 1:17) the gifts don't come from us! they come from God! we have no reason to thank ourselves or another person for what God has clearly given us. I'm not saying it's wrong to thank someone for their work, I'm saying that ultimately God gave them that ability to do that type of work.
This type of thankfulness will show true separation, we must be on guard against selfishness. It's easy to take credit it's easy to misuse the blessings from God.

Walk as he walked

1st john 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The line is simple, we that abide in Christ must walk as Christ walked, I was reminded of this as I talked with a dear brother in the Lord this past wed night at church. He spoke this verse to me and his point was that so many Christians don't follow it. We need to walk as Jesus walked, we can't live in the world and follow Christ, the choice is clear, the line is drawn. The word Abide in greek is Menos, this word means to dwell, stand, hold fast, etc. We are to dwell in the Lord! that means daily, that means hourly. It's radical, it's a life of always walking as Jesus walked, every decision as Jesus walking. I am sad to see churches and Christians who think they can have the world and have Christ. who think they can walk as they want. Dude! you are either for Christ or your not, the choice is simple. Walk in the truth! not in the world.

A break from the series,......local missions update

Hello All!

yes I am still living on the earth just not living on this blog like I used to, sorry for those of you who have been waiting for a blog post life has been simply crazy with ministry. Below is a local missions update on how things are going in our city:

Brother "K" is out of the rehab center and i am trying to find him a ride to church, he is really growing in the Lord and being an awesome light to his brothers.
our church is planning the Vacation bible adventure(VBA) it's similar to VBS. This year however instead of having the kids come to us at the church we are taking it to parks and to their "hood" pray for wisdom on where to do this at and how wed should go about it.
Park outreaches are starting up again, the youth group is getting out and loving on people by playing with kids, and talking with parents about the problems in the world and as the Lord leads presenting the life changing message of Jesus. It's truly amazing to come down to the park on friday nights and watch as the lord moves!
Youth Group(YG), YG is in transition, as the former youth leaders move to Israel to serve full time as servants for the Lord(More on them later). The YG is now being established and I am excited to see how the Lord will speak to the youth during the outreaches, bible studies, etc this summer! Meanwhile, the Middle school youth group is going on weekend camp this weekend we will spend time in the word studying about being free from sin and alive in Christ by doing a weekend study in the book of Galatians. This trip will include Canoeing, swimming, fishing, and above all, spending time in the word and praying and seeking the Lord in separate discipleship groups. Wow! when I sit down to write this I never fully realized all the Lord is doing in this city and in our church! this is only a bit of what is going on if God showed us the whole plan we would totally mess it up!
Hispanic world: I have been allowing the lord to work in this area, but I can say he is stirring something up in the hearts of the Hispanics of this city. We must wait

Seperation: the churches call to seperation part 3

John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Love, love is another stage of the separation. The world is lacking true love, true love such as Agape love. not the love that is temporary but an everlasting love. That love when shown will separate us clearly from others. I have seen the effects of true love! it penetrates cold hard hearts and softens the deepest parts! it cuts behind years of pain and scars and sets the captive free! The concept of loving in a world like this is radical! what kind of love am I talking about? a love that won't be limited because another believer in the body of Christ thinks the felon on the street is hopeless case or someone who they treat as an outcast because of their past or career. This lobe will not be limited by only serving inside the church, this love must be demonstrated the biblical way. the way of John 15:13. A sacrificial love for one another an agape love for one another putting others before ourselves a love that does not consider us(1st cor 13). When I say we love the unsaved I mean we LOVE the unsaved we need to not be tract team swat members out there to only throw tracts and then hide in the church. We need top be among the unsaved simply loving on them! we need to make disciples not converts!
This is a radical idea, but I have seen Love change lives I have seen a felon go from a simple church goer to a on fire for the Lord. I have seen people who have been lured in by dead religion be revived because they were really loved!
this is just few stories! Lord, let us love!
this is my prayer for the church and this is the way the world will know we are different.

Seperated: the churches Call to seperation-part 2

Hello All:

Prayer, Prayer is part of being separate the world is no praying like it used to, the church is not praying like it used to, and to be honest I'm concerned about how we deal with this subject. Churches today talk about prayer, they teach on prayer, but we lack praying Christians, I know, everyone talks about prayer and how we all need to pray more, but really what is prayer in a world we live in? prayer is the time we have with God before we enter the world. This is the time of separation from the world. Jesus often took time to pray and to take a rest from the world and his ministry.
Luk 6:12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

This was Jesus time to be separate, he needed just like we need to, spend time with the Lord. He used this opportunity I'm sure to get refreshed, we need to be refreshed spiritually. the call to prayer is simple, the task is hard, it's hard to get up early and pray or stay up late and pray but when we do great things start happening,(Jam 5:16)
The world is a dangerous place and unless we are praying and seeking the Lord our efforts for the kingdom will fail, we need to keep our own walk with Christ in check before we move out into the field. We need that relationship with Christ, Prayer in a dark world is the ultimate type of separation. We are called to pray without Ceasing(1st Th 5:17)
This means always be praying always live a life of prayer, don't treat prayer like a 1/2 hour session then live your life! we must live always in prayer we must act upon our relationship with the Lord, we must be on the alert for prayer opportunity. Prayer is useless if we get into the business mindset of prayer we pray for 1/2 hour a day then live in the world! dude, that time spent was useless if we use prayer a s a means of fulfilling the christian walk in that sense. We must walk in prayer we must never cease from praying! This is true separation.

Seperated: the churche's call to seperation part 1

I really want to express my heart for the church to be separated. We are called to be separate from this world, that means that anything ungodly or any hint of living in the world ought to be away from us.
God's call to us is simple 2Cr 6:17 Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."
We are to "come out" and be separate. That's radical!
"Do not touch what is unclean"
What is unclean? the things of this world, the pagan traditions (Ironically today is earth day) the world of TV the movies, the godless activity of the weekend, drinking, sex, etc. Frankly I'm sad to see churches today not obeying the call to be separate, we are using the excuse "we need to become all things to all men" dude! thats a stupid excuse. I understand Paul said that but he also told the church to not be part of the world. Paul would not have gotten involved in a pagan colony just to become all things to all men. And if the church today does use this excuse we are abusing the liberty of Christ Jesus(Gal 5:1).
We are not supposed to be part of the world in hopes of reaching the world. What happens when you start hanging out people who talk bad? you start talking bad.
ok we have established the need and the call for separation basically the intro to this topic. next we shall see the love of separation.

Park outreaches and the lost-my interaction with the hispanic world.

Hello all!

just got back from spending some time in a city park. At the park i was able to talk with a family from Mexico the mom is most likely single with 3 kids and a few extra kids to take care of. She is very friendly and helped to provide me with a glimpse into the spainish world. My heart aces for the single Hispanics mothers trying to make a living. if this interaction was not enough then after the park I headed over to a house of a friend who is from El Salvador he expressed that there is a great need in my city for solid spanish churches. he also expressed the need for the pastors to get grounded in the word they are hungry just lacking the needs, I believe the needs are best described as below:
Spanish bibles
Tracts
Solid Biblical teachings (Cd's and books)
Discipleship groups
I am praying as to how to get involved more, my missions director has decided i am to bring the teaching to the Hispanic communities and then trust the lord to move with them.

The word of the Lord

1Sa 3:21 Then the LORD appeared again in Shiloh. For the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

I love how Samuel learned from the lord by "the word of the lord" that is truly amazing, just to study his heart for the lord is amazing. How often do we forget the word of the Lord? how often are we distracted by other teachings we never seek the lord for ourselves? I believe that we need to be reading the word more often and praying more often, we must kill our flesh and study the word.
I'm tired of dead religion and tired of not reading the word. It's time to read the word and study it. the lord will reveal himself to you in his word if we honestly seek him.
I love it! I have seen his words come true so many times but I still don't get enough of the word. It's amazing when we fall in Love with Jesus daily, I love the word I wish I had more time to dedicate to it. Anyways, point being is this, we need to seek the lord by reading the word and let the Lord build the house.

Who do we allow to rule our lives?

Jdg 8:23 But Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over you."

Who do we allow to rule our lives? I am not debating the role of leaders here, but honestly, who do we place our trust in? our pastor, parents, etc?
While we are supposed to honor them as the word commends we must not look to them more then we seek the lord.
I see such danger in the church of looking to man instead of God. We allow man to rule our churches rather then the holy spirit. Mans plans fail and amount to nothing, we may think we know whats going on but we really don't. We may have a plan for our church but we really need to seek the Lord? why have we taken the control of the holy spirit and given it to man? because we want to be "content" we want to be ok with our lifestyle, why are we dying off and not allowing the Lord to control our lives/churches? because we are afraid of conviction, because we are prideful. the idea of control is radical, this idea is over the edge. I am desiring to be completely controlled by the holy spirit. Ahh! the Lord is amazing when he controls our lives it is an adventure. He provides for us and he gives us joy and fulfillment.

Spritual restless

It's been awhile since I've posted here,
I guess I have been busy with life and the radical adventure Jesus is taking me on.
I have been this past week wandering through the spiritual wilderness and really searching the Lord has been speaking to me and I am spiritually restless, I can't express my heart in words. All i know is that some un thinkable doors have been opned this past week.
the highlighted one is this:
"K" he was a man at the "glory house" a rehab place for drug addicts and felons.
He came to church last week and claims to follow Christ I love him deeply and my heart aches for him. I want him to know and walk in the truth. Anyways point being, in spiritual terms I view the glory house as the farthest the Lord could ever call me I would willingly go to Africa, china, and the ends of the world but right across from my own church into a house of felons and drug former drug addicts? This is radical and it is odd, a simple church boy, raised in a church with no taste of the world
reaching out to the felons. It is so odd it might be God, just pray for Brother "K" (Name protected) as he grows in the Lord and hopefully reaches out to the rest of the people at the glory house.

Backsliding church

I can even begin to express my hearts desire for this topic about backsliding, As most of you know I come from christian family with who I am so blessed.I love growing up with a family that loves the Lord, but as you also know I have spiritually revived the past few weeks and the lord is showing me how much I missed out on when I was living the simple christian life and not really seeking the lord. And so now Backsliding is such a tremendous issue to me because I don't wanna ever go back to my good church life I don't ever wanna go back to the simple ministry life I've known. I have found my hearts desire,
and the danger of backsliding is so important to address today, the church today is in danger of backsliding and is currently backsliding. Yes the spirit is moving but there is a great spiritual battle going on. It's getting real and down to the last line.
What are signs of backsliding?
signs like the love of many growing cold(Mat 24:12) and the process of being deceived is a huge factor in it.
But I wanna look at the importance of hanging unto what we know to be truth. Because really that's all that matters, we know that Jesus is god and he died for our sins and rose again, we know that the holy spirit is real. What more do we need? why have we twisted the word of God? because we are falling away.
the way to fight this battle is by prayer, the spiritual battle is real and the enemy is real. If we even dare to deny this we are guilty of backsliding. perhaps that is harsh but really if we dare to deny the truth of the matter that the church is dying we are no better then church goers who live in the world and have a form of godliness. What will it take? It will take churches waking up to the truth and going to the lord in prayer like never before. it will take a revival by the holy spirit. It will take sacrifices that I believe are worth it, it may mean we will have to deny the comfort of the current ministry or area of occupation we are involved in in order to fulfill the word of God and not to backslide. It may mean we will have to turn our backs on everything we were raised in and set a whole new focus on our walk with the Lord. This is only the first part, once walking with the Lord we do have the danger of backsliding and going back to the ways of the world even if they are innocent because it's highly possible to backslide in the christian faith and go back from the growing point in your life. when we are growing we will be tempted to stay content with our growth but remember that the Lord has great plans for us.

Prayer and burdens

Hello fellow brothers and sisters in the lord(:

Last night at about 11:00 I could not sleep and felt a strong urging to pray for the Hispanics and other people. I can not explain this urging but i know I need to pray so with worship music already playing I did something so radical I skipped the chance to sleep more and went to my knees in prayer for a time. it was good but somewhat hard because of my flesh wishing to sleep. I did the more I think about it feel like the verse from Deuteronomy came to mind came to mind.
Deu 1:17 You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man's presence, for the judgment [is] God's. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.'

(Italics mine)
that spoke to me as I prayed in my room for the world, the lord confirmed his words in my heart and something big is about to happen(:
Ironically enough I had a long stream of connections and interaction with hispanics today in a local Mexican restaurant The lord is building a church up right out of a restaurant! praise the Lord, anyways, I'm praying for this small group of believers but more info on them to come(: it's a long story(:
back to what the lord is teaching me, I really have been learning to take my "Cases" before the lord and it is amazing to take the time to really intercede and I'm praying about spending more time in prayer for the lost world. This is really all coming out of a desire to just really know God and after much consideration and reading of the book "the cross and the switchblade" I really feel like this is the way to reach the hispanics but I know it will be tough I may try to pray at night more often. I'm sorry my thoughts are so scattered but I really need to express and rant. The time is so short and we need to be praying and seeking the lord and stepping out in faith trusting every decision to be an open door(:
The lord is convicting me of this very thing.

Only God

Num 18:20 Then the LORD said to Aaron: "You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I a your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.

The last part stating that God is Aaron's portion is amazing, because here after years of service to the lord and tons of Trial all this really implies is that Aaron really only has God as a portion and inheritance. Honestly, that really challenged my heart it made me look and see what the Lord was telling me was un healthy. But even as a whole we need to remember that when this world fades away all we really should have left is God.
I can't even begin to describe what the Lord is showing me in this verse. besides the fact that way too often do we place our trust in earthly things and as the common verse states it will all rust away and be destroyed(Mat 6:19-20) this message is needed for the church today we haven taken advantage of the world and rather then keep God as the main and only thing when we leave this temporary home we cling to our earthly treasures what ever they may be. We read that Aaron was stripped of his robe and it is passed on a symbolism in my view of him really being stripped of what ever he believes to be part of the world. I even was reminded once again of that when I read the story of Balaam and yes he made mistakes but he also said that he would not give up the Lord for earthly treasures (Num 22:18)
that was really the essence of Aarons heart he stayed on with his task and really he knew his inheritance was God and God alone.
True devotion comes from knowing and believing that God is the only person/thing you while ever have left with in the end. That is true devotion believing in something you can't see yet dedicating your life to it and knowing, (obviously there will fruits in our ministry) in the end only God will be there when everything else goes apart. When the end of the day is over God is there, and thats true Devotion!
I hope I did not take that verse too far out of context but I feel the lord is using this verse for my own life perhaps no one else sees it this way(:

A song that spoke to me

This is a song by worship leader Hannah Ford that really spoke to me in my times of intercession lately:

~Psalm 40~
By Hannah Ford © 1999

Would you attend to this pain in my heart.
I won’t pretend that it’s not tearing me apart.
And my tears as they fall down mix with breaths of hope and joy,
To think you’ll use this time of brokenness to lift me up a stronger one.
To lift me up with a purer heart.

(chorus)
And I will wait patiently for you, Lord.
You turn and hear my heart’s cry.
You lift me out of the mire.
You set my feet upon the rock.

And you put a new song in my heart.
A hymn of praise to you, my God.
Many people will see and fear,
And put their trust in you.

Many, oh Lord, are the wonders you have done,
And the things you’ve planned for me, I trust, my words could never be sufficient.
But my troubles without number still surrounding me.
So many of them I can’t see. My heart is failing within me.
Do not from me withhold your mercy.

I desire to do your will, oh Lord.
I will not keep my mouth silent.
I will proclaim your righteousness.
In this life. Even in this pain, be exalted!

This is such my hearts cry!

Seperated unto the Lord

Num 6:8
"All the days of his separation he shall be holy to the LORD"

What does it mean to be separated? that means sacrifice, and sacrifice is so hard sometimes. To be completely set apart for God there must be cost involved.
looking at the world we see that we are to an extent separated but what does it mean to "be holy to the lord"? have we really separated ourselves from the world? are we completely severed?
too often in my own life do I feel i honestly have not been separated enough, obviously we can deny that fact that we live in a dark world and live in a "fairy tale land" but we must make sure that our daily lives are not of the world and not in the world(1Jo 2:16)
I feel so over whelmed by this concept of complete separation and as I read the word daily I see more and more ways to be separated from the world, even in the christian walk we tend to be painted by the world and not reaching the total fullness of Christ. My hearts desire is for the body of Christ to not be tinted by the world but rather be shiners of light in a dark age to come. We are to be separated unto the Lord!
that my friend is a daily battle and only in Christ will we accomplish it, it all starts with seeking the lord and being convicted of how we as a body are painted by the world. We must take that vow mentioned in numbers and we must offer everything as loss.

walking in the holy spirit: Prclaiming Christ as Lord

1Cr 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

This is such an important part of walking in the spirit, when we proclaim Jesus as lord is must be of the holy spirit! That basically summarizes the whole purpose of living the christian life, it makes me sad when churches today neglect to proclaim Jesus as Lord in the holy Spirit. they rather teach a different Jesus, and refuse to be even spirit filled.
The challenge is what are we as a body doing for Christ? are we proclaiming the gospel in the spirit?
This is so important, and those who do speak by the spirit know that their lives will shine as lights and denying Christ is impossible when you are filled with the spirit.
The spirit will direct our every move if we learn to submit to it.
My greatest desire is to live a life of the spirit, and to proclaim Jesus as lord in the spirit! That is also our greatest challenge! But oh how great it is when we have that boldness to proclaim Jesus as Lord! but first we must admit he is Lord and that means dying to our selves something I am so trying to do, I feel like I am so selfish in every aspect of my life and it's all talk and no walk. But I know in my own striving I can accomplish nothing. The spirit must be real! it must be active!
that is what we need to hear today! Seriously where has the spirit gone? what greater things can we do then live in the spirit and proclaim the word?
thats my challenge. God is so good, and he is moving in believers around the nation/world and I am so excited to watch it happen!

Being broken

Hello all!

yes, I know it has been awhile but the Lord has really been breaking me and molding me and I really feel like I needed to take some time away from this blog.
Now that my focus is more so on Christ things from now on out could get radical(:
I wanna write about the process of breaking down, this is so important to fully understand what it means to walk in the spirit.
Jam 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
Grace! this means that when we are humble (As many of us are trying to be) God actually gives us grace! how awesome is that? but the process is hard, and sometimes it is painful, or we may be broken down but then we rise up again and struggle with our flesh. But remember that God gives grace to the humble! those who trust him! that is so amazing.
a little bit off track here, but these past few weeks have been good/tough for me. As you all know i am in Highschool and at the age where I really am praying about all the Lord has for me. Lately I have been receiving the same burden that I had before I went to Honduras, a burden for the spanish people. A burden that I pray in the Lords timing would become real! please keep praying for this burden, that the light of god would come down upon the spanish.
anyways, Part of these past few weeks have been just being broken and humbled, I was reading Isaiah 61 yesterday(Read it if you can) and it really spoke to about the process of being broken down and how God uses it to rebuild! So in closing, sorry for not posting more, I just have been really broken down and the Lord is not done yet.

Walking in the spirit: Living the word

Hello everyone!

This topic is about "Living the word" I mean getting plugged into the word.
As part of the walking in the spirit plan, we must get plugged in the word,
we must hold fast to it and be aware of the power of the word(Tts 1:9, 2Th 2:15).
The word is so alive and it is sharper then a two edged sword. It is amazing how easy it is to get distracted from the word in our walking in the spirit. I have faced the same problems, but as I read I also know that as a servant of the Lord it is necessary to read the word and grow in it.
As we the spirit moves, we know the word that went out (By us or by others) will not return void but will do exactly what the Lord has planned(Isa 55:11). This means we could receive a specific word from the Lord in our walk and maybe two-four years later it comes true! How cool is it when we are walking in the spirit and then the Lord gives us a word!
My goal as walking in the spirit is to apply the word I received daily as part of the my plan for the spirit. That means that every decisions I make School/ministry/family etc. is all based on decisions. That means this very blog could be based on the word of the Lord. When we seek the Lord in prayer/reading we really start to get the picture.
It's time we get real about the word and make it a daily point in our lives, it is time to get real and plugged into the word. I was missing so much before I started seeking the Lord in my reading time and even the most boring parts of the bible became real!
so this weeks challenge; Get into the word! in spirit and in truth!

Let us walk in the spirit......

Gal 5:25 "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

"If we live in the spirit..."
do we live in the spirit? do we fully realize what it means to live in the spirit? the key to living in the spirit is by dying daily and by remembering that if we do not live in the spirit we live in the flesh(Gal 5:16). As we look at the scriptures we see the examples of walking in the spirit. We know from the last post that we are to go where the spirit goes, that is the first part of walking in the spirit.
before we can walk though, we must also live. Remember we live in the spirit because we are free in Christ and redeemed(Gal 5;1, 1 Cr 6:20, 1 Cr 7:23.
"Let us also walk in the spirit"
this is the key if we live then we can walk. I wanna challenge my own self to see if I live in the spirit am I willing to live int he spirit and die to myself daily? am I willing to deny everything that is of this world? I long to walk in the spirit.
This is only the beginning, walking is the first step just like a child which brings me to another point, when we walk will fall but we must remember that the Lord is forgiving. I have int he past struggled with this very thing I could be walking in the spirit just fine when I stumble and I feel messed up. Butt his time I am trying to recommit my self to walking in the spirit and the Lord. Already I feel a s spiritual battle brewing. The spirit is real, we must walk daily in it, if we do not we will fail in our walk.
Thank you for reading the first of some post...

New concept

I am about to write about a new concept to most of the church something radical.
The idea is this; what if we as a body of Christ moved solely in the Holy spirit and we
lived our daily lives centered around the word, and the Holy Spirit?
This is why I want to write a mini series on walking in the Holy spirit.
but to kick this off we must examine what the life of one who is filled with the Holy Spirit will be like. lets look at the bible verse in Ezekiel in which we see that those of the spirit simply go where the Lord calls them.
"Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went." Ezekiel 1.20
"Because there the spirit went...."
that is the core of living daily in the spirit, that is the whole purpose of walking daily in it. Without going where the Lord leads we would all be stuck in one place.
This whole idea is so radical for me and for the world. Imagine the impact of a spirit filled life, but before I start giving a pep talk. We need to understand that in this walk we will face trials, disappointments, etc. Others will think we are crazy and to them we may seem that way. But please at least try walking only in the spirit for a week. It is amazing, we as believers need to walk our whole life in the spirit but it is easier then done. We must dye to ourselves.
please pray for the spirit to move as we examine a spirit filled life.

Concept of "third- world"

I wanted to share something interesting with you guys, yesterday I was at a care center with my great grandma (She is celebrating 100 years) and local piano player started chatting with me about Honduras after my grandparents brought it up, the below questions were rather interesting.
1. In terms of Haiti how third-world is Honduras?
2. Did you have internet?
3. what language is it?
These are all logical question just interesting considering the depth of the first one, "in terms of Haiti" the focus is once again on Haiti, Honduras is not that third world in terms of Haiti. Honduras survives, they are not in my opinion "Third-world" like others make it to be, yes they have the poor.....just like the states.
But overall they are not third world like Haiti, they have coffee as a main export thus why they survive more. The line that defines a third world country is so hard to define. I would define Africa as one but maybe not El Salvador. I have learned to be careful about what terms to use to define a third world country. Or how to define Honduras in terms of poverty. Hondurans have told me "We are not poor we are just right" while yet it seems kids are always roaming the streets.
anyways, I'm currently trying to get an app on here that would allow a "unreached person of the day" to show every day on this blog.

My heart is heavy

Hello All!

again, quick update on Haiti (Yes, i know non-stop post) the total bodies recovered so far are around 70,000.
now my post:
I had an awesome time of prayer this morning and really feel truly blessed to be called a child of God, I also have felt an urgency to reach the lost world and am in prayer regarding how I am to assist the kingdom by this. I have no real plan laid out yet but maybe one day I will. All I know that the mission field starts in our home cities then it spreads to the state, nation, and finally the world. Some are called to be teachers and some are called to be evangelists, what is your calling? I am feeling really urgent to get the gospel out but I feel so restrained by the burdens of this world. I guess the main point is to simply keep your focus in your daily life upon what really matters.
Right now, my heart is heavy for Haiti perhaps it is just because of the never ending reports but maybe something more, either way all I know is this; if only we would walk by the spirit our lives would be changed I am trying to. it is a challenge. please pray about how you can serve missions and go!

Death toll estimatation decreased and more aid needed.......

Hello all,
yet another update on Haiti (the rest of the world seems to be updating on a daily basis)
The death toll estimate from earlier this week saying that about 500,000 people have died (See fox news) has been changed and now the red cross and government officials are saying that only 50,000 are expected dead, now as I write this more aid is coming in and more aid is always needed but right now there are also tensions regarding the aid being received by the citizens of Haiti. Because of the shortage of foods, water, etc. it is common to have many fight over the water, now I can assure you that the problem is being taken care of.
please keep praying for this nation, I've been reading reports about different missions there and it sounds like the majority of christian work there is ok,

Death Toll rises....

As day two of the aftermath of the deadly earthquake of the coast of Haiti dawns, search teams are just starting to recover bodies and they death toll is quickly raising. Some say the death toll could be as high as 500,000. While this number is just an estimate of all the bodies that the teams are recovering at this time.
The United states has offered assistance in anyway possible and president Obama pledged to aid Haiti. Of course prayers are helpful in this time but also please lift up the workers and the citizen of this nation that they would see Jesus in this.
Also, please pray for Calvary Chapel Port-Au-Prince as they deal with the victims.
And please keep praying for any opportunities to how we may help as a body of Christ in aiding them and showing Haiti the gospel.
I will try to post more as it follows and try to get some relief info, but please keep praying.

Around the world:Mozambique, Africa

Hello All,

This is yet another update about the world. Before I mention the focus of this post, I want to share with you all that my sister Felicia is safely on her way back to Honduras for 6 months. Please keep praying for her and I will post updates as I receive them.
The focus today is Mozambique, Africa. there is a tremendous work going on in this country and the mission field is huge, the main ministry I myself am going to focus is the ministry of a missionary named Sarah Berreth. She is a full time nurse/missionary to Africa and has been stationed there since late May and her work is huge, she works with orphans and shows them the love of Christ by treating for their needs and working as a Nurse at a local clinic. She is in need of financial support if you feel led but she primarily ask for prayer regarding her work there. Her blog that outlines her work is located below and she be contacted at the address on the blog.

Thank you for your prayers and interest

prayer

I'm taking a day away from our series about Missions around the world and focusing on prayer as a topic.
Prayer? what is it? Prayer is the source of a relationship with God it is as if you are talking with your best friend. But as a church we have labeled prayer as a form of "religious" activity we have limited it through our long endless repetitive prayers.
we are losing the gift of prayer, as a body of Christ we have seemed to lost the need for prayer or the urgency of prayer. But as we look at the new testament we see the early church praying daily and they were multiplied. Paul was a praying man who said to pray without ceasing. This is the first goal that needs to be established, unless we pray we will not see fruits we need to come to that point and don't get me wrong I am still working on that too, but I feel there is so much missing today in missions because we have not taken time to seek the Lord.
there is something supernatural that happens when we pray something that moves, and it is called the Holy spirit. I am passionate about prayer in missions and you need to be too. This is the foundation of our christian walk and it is everything needed in missions.
Please take time to pray and seek the Lord,
Josiah

Missions around the world part 2

Hello all!

This is the 2nd part of missions around the world. In this one I want to share about he work that the Lord is doing in Europe. This is done through "A Vision for life" ministry they are based out of Hungary Europe. This ministry started back in 2003 and is doing an amazing work. it is part of the Calvary chapel bible college of Europe (CCBCE) this ministry seeks to train missionaries and youth to be followers of Jesus.
recently CCBCE has obtained a full credited education certificate from the European union. This certifies their teaching as legit. This is a huge step towards being a bigger college in the Lord's time. The vision for life ministry reaches out across Europe and around the world. They are among the few ministries taking advantage of the ripe mission field in Europe. Europe is more open now then ever before and you can get involved by taking part in CCBCE a bible college that is reaching the world.
below is a video that speaks about vision for life and what they are doing and also a link to their website for more information on getting involved.

the link for the site

Thanks for taking time to read an please remember to pray for this ministry.

Missions around the world part 1

hello all!
thouhgt it would be good for us as a body to start reading about missions from around the wolrd region by region, so that way we can all pray specificly for the Lords work thus it starts my new series "Missions around the world" I hope this provides a way to pray more efectivly.
below is the first one;
El Salvador ("the Savior")
The Lord is doing a great wokr in El slavador, he is using Calvary Chapel San Salvador (Captiol city) for his glory and he is doing such a huge work there, it is the mother church of Central america (CA) El Salvcador is predomintaly catholic and has a high crime rate. It is very Americanized but the population remains in debt and poverty, below is a video outlying the work the Lord is doing therough Calvary Chapel and potter's field ranch located in Montana.

please take time to watch this video
God bless,
Joy of the sower
